Clínica Sagrada Esperança
Health & Medicine
Clínica Sagrada Esperança has in its genesis one of the basic principles of the great and powerful Diamang: workers are the most important capital of a company!
Therefore, it had always offered to all its staff a vast health network, which it managed independently, and which practically covered the entire province of Lunda, where, naturally, most of its staff were based, since this was also the its main intervention network.
This health network that Diamang made available to its workers, from top to bottom, provided all medical and medication assistance completely free of charge. With a Health Center with more than 200 beds, it was the second largest health institution in Angola, being the first in the private sector.
In 1990, Engineer Noé Baltazar, then President of Endiama, proposed the creation of a clinic in Luanda, with a dual function: treating the sick and caring for the children of employees in a Jardim-Escola day care center. What was intended, from the outset, was to actively participate in the social humanization that was already becoming crucial.
