The Electricity Sector Transformation Program was created on 12 October, with the aim of driving operational improvement of the entire value chain, in order to obtain a progressive improvement in the efficiency of each new company and to develop/strengthen the necessary skills of workers in the Angolan electricity sector.

On November 20, 2014, Presidential Decree nº 305/14 was published, which extinguished the National Electricity Company (ENE-EPE) and created three new companies and approved their respective organic statutes, namely, the Public Electricity Production Company ( PRODEL-EP), the National Electricity Transport Company (RNT-EP) and the National Electricity Distribution Company (ENDE-EP).

ENDE results from the merger of the assets of the extinct EDEL and the Distribution Business Unit of the extinct ENE, developing its activity throughout the national territory.

CORPORATE PURPOSE

The National Electricity Distribution Company has as its main objective the distribution and commercialization of electric energy at national level, within the scope of the Public Electricity System (SEP), through the exploitation of the infrastructures of the distribution networks (AT, MT, BT) in High, Medium and Low Voltage, in a public service regime under the terms of the General Electricity Law and its Regulations.
